Creating commercial, narrative and documentary content with colourful and bold vision through hand-drawn animation, motion graphics, and live action/stop motion hybrid method ‘pixilation’, Alastair creates unique work by exploring his distinctive visual perspective.

A 2012 graduate of the National Film & Television School’s MA in Directing Animation, as well as the highly regarded Illustration and Animation BA at Kingston, Alastair has directed animated content for clients that include Barclays and House Of Fraser, and animated content for Nexus Productions and Mother London.

Recent projects include directing animated films for the Care Quality Commission (with Slurpy Studios) and the British Academy for the Humanities and Social Sciences (with Spy Design).


His most recent short film, ‘Bird World’, a heady and visually rich hand-drawn exploration of city life from an avian perspective, picked up a number of international festival selections including Anima Mundi(Brazil), Fresh Film Fest (Prague), Bristol Encounters and the Hiroshima International Film Festival.
